Team Ethiopia: Church Day!

CHURCH-2016.jpg

Team Ethiopia is a short-term missions group from Central Church in Collierville, TN. They partner with our Ethiopian Team on the ground in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for about a week. Here is their daily update regarding their experience and the way God moves in and through this ministry. We thank them for their service! Written by: Meme Alleman, team member and TFC Board Member

Church Day!  This is a special day for us because we get to visit the International Evangelical Church (IEC).

Most of us have been to this church before and all of us admit that we are able to see what the true Christian church should look like. You would not believe the number of nationalities and ethnic groups that are represented.  A true taste of heaven! We sang, prayed and heard an eye-opening sermon on 'When Power Gets Abused," a story of David. After lunch we went to visit the site of our Bible school tomorrow and the new drop-in center. This was a day to continue team building, get to know each other better and finish final preparations for our big day tomorrow, Monday. All I can say is we are READY!

ONESIMUS

If you are wondering who the guy you don't know in the group picture is, that is John Ramos.  John is from California and is connected to the Bridges family. He contacted Joe a while back and wanted to come and serve in Ethiopia. Joe suggested he come during the week we were here and here he is.  He will be helping us all week.  Isn't God amazing?

CHURCH DAY 10

Please continue to pray for us. We have seen a few tummy aches, a restless night adjusting to jet lag and a little rain, but oh how many blessings we have already had. We have already seen God working in so many ways. Thank you for covering us with your prayers and thoughts.  We can feel it!!
